Express Yourself - Book Worlds

It's EYM timethe weekly meme that Dani and I come up with a question/topic of some sort for other bloggers to share and learn more about each other.
Please join us HERE!

Topic of the week: List 5 books you would NOT want to live in. Then list 5 books you'd love to live in. If you can't come up with 5, no biggie. I couldn't either.

3 books I wouldn't want to live in:

**The Hunger Games - I love the series, but I wouldn't want my family to go through the struggles in this series or have to fight for their lives with hardly any hope of survival. No way, no how.

**The Walking Dead graphic novels - While I love reading through the comics, and I love the TV series even more, I would not want to live in a zombie apocalypse. I'd like to think I'd be a badass like Michonne, but if I'm being honest, I know I would be like Beth (tv series), or even the way Carol (tv series) used to be. Now, Carol is awesome, but I don't know if I'd ever get to that degree of survival. Sad, but completely true.
**Unwind series - Neal Shusterman's a genius, and this series is incredible, but I wouldn't want to live in a world where kids are used for parts.

5 books I'd love to live in:

**Hush, Hush series - I adore Patch. That is all.

**Vampire Academy - a school for vampires and dhampirs (mix of a vampire and a human), who learn how to fight off Strigoi (evil vamps) while getting a solid education and a kickbutt workout regime? Absolutely!
**House of Night series - a school for vampires who are in touch with the earth through magic sounds like a fun place to live!
**Splintered series - The world Anita creates is magical and makes me want to "jump down the rabbit hole" again and again.
**Harry Potter series - YES PLEASE! This world would be an amazing place to live. And my kiddos would love it, too.

What book worlds would you avoid? What ones would you love to visit?

Express Yourself - Couples

It's EYM timethe weekly meme that I co-host with Dani
Each week, we come up with a question/topic of some sort for other bloggers to share.
Please join us HERE!

Topic of the week: Tell us about some couples you adore.

We had a similar question last year, but we thought it fitting for Valentine's Week! Plus, a lot can happen in a year. Some new couples may surface.

The book couples I adore:

Noah and Allie from Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook

Augustus and Hazel from John Green's The Fault in Our Stars

Patch and Nora from Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush series

Tristran and Yvaine from Neil Gaiman's Stardust

What couples do you adore?

Celebrate the small things

Celebrate the Small Things is the fun weekly meme hosted by Viklit @ Scribblings of an Aspiring Author, where bloggers share things they wish to celebrate, and then hop around to other bloggers to rejoice in their celebrations, too. :) Go HERE to sign up and join the celebration!

**Dani will be helping me at the flower shop this weekend for Valentine's Week. It's a long process to prepare for that holiday, so I'm so grateful for her help! And we get to work together, too! Woot!

**I felt like giving up on my revise, because it's the third go around with this story, and I KNOW with each revise, it's making the story stronger. But it is so frustrating. My CP's --- if it weren't for their pep-talks and giving me a kick-in-the-butt, I don't know what I'd do. I'm so thankful for them.

**The Walking Dead is back on this Sunday!!!

What celebrations would you like to share?

IWSG - Post #17 - inspiration

Insecure Writer's Support Group, hosted by Alex J. Cavanaugh, is a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds.
To join, click on the links and post on your blog the first Wednesday of every month. Sign up and meet some awesome people

Sometimes, I can write from the top of my head without needing props, if you will. Other times, I need some sort of inspiration, especially during those moments where the words won't flow or at a part that I'm stuck on.
For those times, I have some "go-to" ideas for inspiration.

*Social network sites, mainly Pinterest for the amazing photos, but I have to be careful, because I can get sucked in to those and lose track of time
*music
*movies
*a walk (though, now that it's cold, indoor track doesn't have the same view, but it serves its purpose, all the same)
*a drive
*work - my mind wanders, and while I'm at work using creativity, I find that my brain works out other ideas of my stories for me
*the library - one of my favorite places to be, so peaceful and invigorating

What do you guys do to spark some inspiration?
Do you have any places you like to visit that help in your writing endeavors?

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy writing!
