Later, John H. Kellogg tried the same process with boiled wheat, and then rolled the product out creating wheat flakes.
Breakfast cereal was born.
I LOVE cereal with either soy milk or skim milk. My favorites? I could go on and on, but I'll only share five to spare you.
Doesn't the Cracklin' Oat Bran look like cat food? It's yummy, though, with a cinnamon/oatmeal taste.
Do you like cereal? What are your favorites?

I don't love cereal but do have some that I have to eat if I had to eat it. Fruity Pepples and Shredded Wheat. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Shredded Wheat, but my oldest loves it ...especially the one with strawberry filling.
DeleteI'm more of a bagel type of person but I like granola. "Sugar cereal" wise (as my mom calls it) I like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. But it gets soggy too fast.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is all bout the Reese's Puffs. He picks up a box every time we go shopping.
I could've sworn I responded to this! LOL Google hates me. :/
DeleteI like yogurt for breakfast but tend to eat cereal late at night. Bad, I know. But oh well. :)
Your hubby has good taste!
Wow, who knew? I like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms myself. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't buy Lucky Charms bcuz my 5 year old likes to eat JUST the marshmallows. So when his brothers go to get a bowl of it, they're disappointed when the mallows are gone. LOL
DeleteThis is off topic, but can we talk about how hot Adam Levine is? SO HOT!!! Do you watch the Voice? YUMMY :)
ReplyDeleteComments about Adam Levine are always allowed. :D
DeleteI've crushed on him since 2003. Yep, I watch The Voice and DVR it so I can watch it again and again. <3
Yum, cereal! I like Cinnamon Chex, which I prefer to eat out of the box. And granola in milk or on yogurt.

Deletehaha! That does look like cat food!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of cereal too. I love me some reeses puffs
There's just something about cereal that makes the world a better place. LOL
DeleteOkay, maybe not, but I'm trying to justify my love for cereal. :D
Hello, Fellow Challenger. Shredded Wheat and Puffed Wheat. Don't like the sugary cereals for breakfast -- like them for munchies! I'm #424 from Rockin' Chair Reflections. Come visit when you can.
ReplyDeleteHello! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI love frosted mini wheats and the Special K with the little yogurt pieces (can't find it too often). My hubby likes Captain Crunch, but I can't even think of CC without feeling the roof of my mouth being ripped to shreds. :D
ReplyDeleteMy C
I agree about CC. They can wound the mouth something fierce! LOL
DeleteI love the convenience of cereal, but not always the options of cereals! I'm a sucker for Lucky Charms though . . .
ReplyDeleteLucky Charms is good, but my 5 yr old hogs down the marshmallows and leaves the grain part so we rarely buy it. LOL
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :D
I've totally thought that about Cracklin Oat Bran!!! My fav is Chocolate Mini Wheats :) Now I want some!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Choc mini wheats, but my oldest son loves them. :D
DeleteHA! I love your comment about Cracklin' Oat Bran! It totally looks like cat food but I love it! I am also someone who loves cereal, all kinds. My wife teases me that I like the "old people" cereals - Cracklin' Oat Bran, Raisin Bran, Shredded Wheat (no frosting), and several more! YUM! Thanks for the great post and good luck this April!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and GL to you, too. :D
DeleteLOVE cereal! I eat it for dinner WAY too often. But its SO GOOD.
ReplyDeleteI really love honey nut cheerios.
Aw, heck. I like em' all :)
I like honey nut cheerios with bananas cut up in them. :D
DeleteThere's an almond honey granola that I recently discovered. It is insanely good. It's my go-to breakfast and snack.
ReplyDeleteA-Z @ Elizabeth Twist
