It's time for the Express Yourself Meme - week 3 co-hosted by Dani and Me!
What language would you like to speak and why?
- I'd love to learn French. I think it sounds so exquisite and flows beautifully.
- Also, I know it's not a "language" but I'd love to speak in an Aussie accent. THAT would be really cool. (I'm a sucker for accents... aka Hugh Jackman *sigh*)
Are there any languages you'd like to speak?

I love accents too, Irish is my favourite! :D
ReplyDeleteOOH! Irish, good choice!
DeleteI'd love to be able to speak French; the little that I learnt in school has gone from my head now! I could never do the pronunciation very well, either.
ReplyDeleteI took Spanish in high school, but a lot of it left, too.
DeleteI was gonna post the same thing about an Aussie accent! I love the sound of an Irish accent too. I just love the way it sounds.
ReplyDeleteAussie and Irish, nice choices!
DeleteI know a little French. Learned it in high school and college. Love the language. Of course that was many moons ago, so I've forgotten lots.
ReplyDeleteFrom a practical side, I wish I knew Spanish. From a fun side, Italian.
Italian would be lovely, too! Great choice!
DeleteI'd love to learn French too. It's such a gorgeous language. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree! :D
DeleteLove Ireland, UK and Aussie accents too! I could listen to them talk about changing the motor oil all day long. (; As far as languages go, I've always wanted to learn to sign.
ReplyDeleteLOL about the motor oil. :)
DeleteI also enjoy French. Took some in high school. I can read it well enough. Speak it? I'd be in trouble if you plopped me in Paris. :)
ReplyDeleteI took Spanish in high school, but I don't remember a whole lot.
DeleteI can read a bit of French, but not really speak it. I've heard it said that Spanish starts out easy and gets hard, while French starts out hard but then gets easier.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool you can read it!
DeleteI think speaking like an Aussie sounds great, except for the whole vulgar aspect of their dialect. =)
ReplyDeleteI know quite of bit of Spanish, some French, some Portuguese, some German, some Hebrew, a significant amount of Latin, and a bit of Italian. Of those, I would love to become fluent in Italian. It's the most beautiful language when sung.
Oh, and I've tagged you in the "looking at you" writer's challenge. =)
I don't mind vulgar. :D
DeleteThanks for tagging me!
I'm a sucker for accents too! :)
ReplyDeleteAren't they amazing?!
Deletei want to join, but my calendar is so full! i will pledge once a month!
ReplyDeleteand i want to learn mandarin (chinese) since we owe them most money!
Once a month works, too. Thanks, Tara!
DeleteAccents are wonderful, but I can't agree with the French. I tried a course in college and UG! - let's just say it's not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteI think it'd be easier to learn certain languages as a kid.
DeleteMmm, Hugh Jackman. hehe
ReplyDeleteI'd like to learn French, too! My mom took it in college. I can sing a song in it, if that counts. hehe And not just Alouette.
Singing in French absolutely counts! That's awesome!
Delete*swoon*
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... Accents are the BEST... I'm a sucker for any accent. Irish, Scottish, British, Aussie, etc... Yum!
This is fun! :D
Yeah, I agree. Most accents are amazing!
DeleteAs I am an Aussie, I thank you all for liking our accent. It is called the Australian drawl. I being a Queenslander have a stronger drawl than the occupants of the southern states.
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling me that about the Australian drawl. So cool! I love learning new things!
DeleteVery Cool blog hop! If I could choose a language to learn, probably Italian :) Although I love to hear the Brit's talk. I'm from WV and although I don't hear it myself, have visited a few other states and been asked where I am from because of having a southern accent. So, I guess I have one and didn't even realize it! :)
ReplyDeleteItalian is a great choice, too!
DeleteThis is embarrassing, but having lived in Egypt for 20 years, I don't speak Arabic very well and I don't read it at all. My Egyptian husband speaks English well and we speak that at home.
ReplyDeleteI have a Swiss friend who's fluent in French, German, Italian, English and also speaks some Arabic. It must be so cool to be able to speak all those languages.
Wow! That's cool your friend can speak all those languages!
DeleteJe compris about the French. I took a semester of it and wish I could've continued. One language I find ultra sexy, though few believe me, is Russian. I don't wanna learn it, I just want it whispered in my shell-like ears... ;-)
ReplyDeleteMina's Resurrection Blogfest!
Hehe to the sweet nothings in Russian.
DeleteGreat choice, BTW! :D
Agree with all the love of Aussie and Irish accents. I think it'd be cool to speak so many different languages, to relate to more people.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to learn Spanish so I could understand what quite a few people are saying around me since I live in southern California.
