C.M. Brown's He Came For Mine Blog Tour

Hello, blogging friends! Ryan, from C.M. Brown's He Came For Mine, stopped by my blog today. Ryan, the floor is yours...

Hi Jackie and thanks for inviting me to share my side of the story with you and your readers.

To start with my name is Ryan and I am Sebastian’s older half-brother.  We do not share the same mother, lucky for me.

By right of birth, I should be the one to inherit the opportunity to be ruler of Aidensdein.  But, due to a plan to over throw the throne from my father, centuries ago, I have been exiled from Aidensdein, never able to return again.

I have a plan or two to rectify this unfortunate circumstance, or should I say my half-sister, Melinda and I have a plan and together we will take revenge on our family.

Melinda seeks her dues for the death of her partner and I well, it will be amusing to see Sebastian suffer, as I have suffered, being banished to this lowly planet for what seems like an eternity.

For starters, what man in his right mind would abandon a lovely girl like Jazz?  And, to think he has also left the ‘Chosen One’ alone and unprotected in the realm.  Not to mention he has also abandoned his duties as a father.  He deserves what I have in store for him!

If I am lucky enough to secure Jazz as my partner in the process of my revenge, all the better for me!

I will have to consider whether I will keep her for myself or drain her to use her blood to procreate and repopulate Aidensdein, the way of our ancestors.

This is yet to be foreseen!  All I know is that Sebhastian doesn’t know what is in store for him and when he realizes, all will be too late!

Well Jackie, I hope you and your reader’s have thought my plans and thoughts interesting enough to read C.M. Brown’s book He Came For Mine, then they will find out the outcome of my revenge!

Ryan

Desperate to save the life of a child he never knew he had, Sebastian returns to Earth to find Jazz in the arms of another man.  A man he knows all too well.  One who cannot be trusted!  Sebastian worries if Jazz’s feelings for him have fleeted in his absence and he vows to win her back.

Jazz struggles to find ground between Sebastian and her new life, unsure who to trust and still holding resentment for Seb’s abandonment.  She seeks solace through someone who was there for her when she needed help to pick up the pieces.

After coming to terms with her new life, Jazz is struck down with confusion and longing when Sebastian suddenly returns. However, a dark battle is forthcoming, one that is bound to bring bloodshed.

It's Express Yourself time again! This week, Danielle and I would like you to share a memorable book quote/quotes.

**From Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook**
"You are the answer to every prayer I've offered. You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I don't know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have."

**From Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush**
Patch: "You smell good, too."
Nora: "It's called a shower." I was staring straight ahead. When he didn't answer, I turned sideways. "Soap. Shampoo. Hot water."
Patch: "Naked. I know the drill."

**From Neil Gaiman's Stardust**
"She says nothing at all, but simply stares upward into the dark sky and watches, with sad eyes, the slow dance of the infinite stars."

After enemy ships attack the desert planet, Byron discovers another battle within his own family. The declaration of war between all ten races triggers nightmares in his son, shaking Bassan to the core and threatening to destroy the boy’s mind.

Meanwhile the ancient alien ship is transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life in the galaxy. And the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years ago could be on its way back. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a connection. The storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the middle…

Express Yourself - Scenes filled with love

It's Express Yourself time!

Danielle and I would like to know your favorite love scene from a book or movie.

The Notebook

From the love scenes they share as crazy love struck teens to what they endure as an elderly couple (when Allie can remember) is one of the most beautiful love stories ever told.
My favorite scene would be from the movie version ... the steamy kiss in the rain where Allie accuses Noah of not writing, and he says he wrote her every day. Then he plants one on her! Love it!

10 Things I Hate About You

With William Shakespear's The Taming of the Shrew used as inspiration for this movie, you can't go wrong.
Patrick is paid to date Kat by her younger sister's suitor, Cameron. You see, the girls dad ordered that if Kat doesn't date, Bianca can't date either. Seems like an easy enough plan, but it all goes haywire, and the best part of all? Patrick and Kat fall in love.

My favorite scene would be when Patrick serenades Kat in the bleachers of their high school in front of lots of people. So romantic!

Reality Bites

This is one of my top five fave movies of all time. Best friends try love, but Troy gets scared and bails. Some tragedy happens to make Troy realize he messed up so he goes back to Lelaina to profess his love.

I could go on with this category, but I will spare you guys. So, any romantic moments you'd like to share from a movie or book? If you'd like to participate in our weekly meme, we'd love to have you! Just sign up below. You only need to sign up once, and you're in! :D

Vampire Bite Blog Hop

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jolie Du Pre of Precious Monsters is hosting the Vampire Bite Blog Hop. Click HERE to check out her blog as well as other bloggers participating in this blog hop.

Here's my list of best vampire characters, in alphabetical order...

*Carlisle Cullen - Twilight series. He's helpful, loyal, and kind. Oh, and he's simply gorgeous.

*Damon Salvatore - from The Vampire Diaries (TV series more than the book) played by Ian Somerhalder. From his smirks to his one-liners, he has me drooling, melting, and laughing all at the same time.

*David - The Lost Boys. He's the leader of the vampire gang and pure delish with his vampire ways.

*Deacon Frost - Blade. Da-yam. This dude puts all other "bad" vampires to shame.

*Dimitri Belikov - from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series. When he's a Damphyr, he's a total badass, but when he turns to a Strigoi in book 4, he's AMAZING. Seriously, I would've let him turn me. He was that yummy.

*Edward Cullen - Twilight series. He's another brooding and beautiful vampire with the ability to read your mind. *blushes*

*Louis de Pointe du Lac - from Anne Rice's novel, Interview with the Vampire. He's brooding and beautiful. And Brad Pitt played him perfectly in the film.

*Stefan Salvatore - from The Vampire Diaries. He's the younger brother of Damon. While Damon is ornery, Stefan is the opposite. Sweet and protective.

And that's it for me folks. Make sure you go HERE and check out Jolie Du Pre's site and the other bloggers doing the blogfest.

IWSG - Feb Post #11

Alex J. Cavanaugh's IWSG is a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds. To join, go HERE and post on your blog the first Wednesday of every month. Go sign up and meet some awesome people in the process!

The commercial below is perfect for how I feel right now with my writing.
(clip is 31 seconds)

In the above clip, the man juggling three chainsaws is the equivalent of writing.
And the man saying, "I got this. Give me one." -- is the equivalent of me thinking I have this writing stuff down ... and then I realize, I don't.

I love to write... that's what matters most. I just need to remember that instead of letting insecurity creep in. Easier said than done, as are most things.

I only hope I can conquer those insecurities and say, "I got this." But truly mean it and believe it.
AND believe in myself.

I got this, right?!

Thanks for reading and stopping by!
