G is for Gale Hawthorne

Gale is a character in Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games series.

He's my fave male from those books. My sis bought me a tee to wear with him on it (see below.)
I cropped out my head because... um, yikes! Bad hair day. LOL

  1. BFF to Katniss Everdeen (main protag in the series)
  2. Secretly in love with Katniss
  3. Loyal
  4. Rebel
  5. Provider for his family
  6. Miner
  7. Hunter
  8. Oldest child of four
LOVE this by Gale: "We could do it, you know. Leave the district. Run off. Live in the woods. You and I, we could make it."

It shows his rebellion in a good way, his need to get the ones he loves away from the Capitol and the wrongdoings they bring.

  1. Rebel, Loyal, Hunter . . . Looking at the list, what's there not to like about Gale? Oh right, he's a fictional character. :/

I only read the first book in the series so I'm not sure how things turn out between Gale and Katniss but he seems like a good catch. (:

  2. Gale is a great character. Part of me wishes Katniss would have ended up with him; yet, Peeta and Katniss went through a ton during the games, so perhaps it was best for them to end up together. Who knows? Shrugs.

  3. I liked Gale, but I didn't like what the author did with him in the last book--I thought he acted very out of character!

  4. I liked Gale, too. I was glad Katniss ended up with Peeta, but Gale balanced the story (and Katniss) out.
