Express Yourself - Favorite Childhood movie and/or book

Dani and I host the weekly meme - Express Yourself.

Every week, we come up with a question/topic of some sort for other bloggers to answer.

The goal is for all of us to get to know one another better by sharing different things about ourselves.

If you're not signed up, it'd be great if you joined in on the EYM! We're still in the process of going through the list... we've updated it little by little, and some people aren't active with it any longer, but we'll try to continue to update when we can. Thanks for your patience while we work through the kinks!

The topic for this week: Favorite childhood movie and/or book.

Movies: Star Wars (IV, V, & VI) by George Lucas and a ton of John Hughes movies, but the ones that come to mind right now are...Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club.

Book: From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg - As a little girl, I used to daydream about living in a museum. How cool would that be?

Have you heard about the Confessions Blogfest hosted by Dani and me? BIG thanks to those who have decided to sign up. We heart you!!!

There's still time so please join in on the fun! And it's totally harmless. Just tell us about yourselves and hop around to other blogs and learn about them. See? Fun!

  1. I loved (and still do) the Back to the Future trilogy and my favourite childhood book was The Animals of Farthing Wood by Colin Dann.

  2. Oh the early Star Wars were good. I'm such a sucker for chick flicks, I always name things like Fried Green Tomatoes, You've Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally. I need to update my list..

  3. My favorite movie was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Maybe because I've always LOVED chocolate :)
As to books,I was totally taken by Anna Karenina. Not really a kids book but I got the silly idea in my head to read all the classics when I was 10.

  4. I didn't read that book until I was an adult. But I agree with you, living in a museum would be fun!

    1. It would be, especially if it came to life like in Night at the Museum. :D

  5. Sixteen Candles was a pretty big hit at my place as well. I think that Ghostbusters and Gremlins probably tied in my (and my younger siser's) esteem. As for books, hmmm...again, I'd have to say a toss up between the Nancy Drew series and the Little House books.
