Celebrate the small things and Confessions Blogfest

Celebrate the Small Things is the fun weekly meme hosted by Viklit @Scribblings of an Aspiring Author, where we share things we wish to celebrate, and then hop around to other bloggers to rejoice in their celebrations, too. :)

My celebrations

I did the Color Me Rad 5K with my hubby, Dani, and her hubby. It was so much fun and did wonders for me, my spirit, and my friendship with Dani. :)

It's time for the Confessions Blogfest. Dani @Entertaining Interests and want to know what not-so-dark secrets you have. If you want to share the dark ones, by all means, but this is the world wide web, so... yeah, that saying "What happens in Blogosphere, stays in Blogosphere" ... That probably won't happen, so use your own discretion.

It can be fun facts about yourself, quirks, memories, dreams, wishes, something you did that you're proud or not-so-proud of. The list is endless. We just want to learn more about you.

The below might seem trivial to some, but it is who I am and believe it or not, it is taking a lot for me to write them out because there's this little thing called anxiety that likes to mess with me.
*deep breath*
These are my confessions **cue Usher music** ....

  • When I eat french fries, I don't eat the entire fry. Instead, I discard the part that I touched. Typing that out makes me sound crazy... *shrugs* My hubby was the first and only person to notice and mention it many years ago, and he still comments on it to this day. He says it makes me - me. :D
  • I wish me, my family, and my friends would have a "dance" like the end scene of Footloose. It would be a blast! Some day, I'd like for that to really happen     .....This leads me into my next confession.....
  • I love singing and dancing to the movies Footloose and Grease 1 & 2. And when I say singing and dancing, I'm talking about going all out. I sing into a hairbrush, play air guitar, and jump on furniture when no one is home. I act like I'm a rock star, but I'm really a dork.

So there you have it. Any confessions you'd like to share? Hop around to the brave bloggers below and see what they have to say.

  1. After all the years I have been your friend, I have never noticed the Fry thing. We must not have ever eaten Fries together. hehe
You want a movie montage of dancing in your life. Why didn't you ask?!
Oh and I've seen you get down to Grease and Meatloaf songs before!

  3. Color runs look like fun. I don't think it has come here yet. As for french fries, I have to ask, Why?

  4. I sometimes wish everyone around me would burst into song and dance like in a musical. It would certainly make work more interesting!
I cut up all of the food on my plate before I start eating, and my boyfriend always comments on how strange that is.

  5. Ahahaha! What a weirdo... just kidding! Seriously though, of all the weird food eating preferences I've seen in my lifetime, it is safe to say that your quirk is truly an original one. Now I want to go eat some french fries with you... and you can laugh at me when I eat all of my fries and fold up the fry container into a neat little square before moving on to my sandwich :-)

And it's the same with chips, carrots, etc.

  7. The french fry thing is certainly an interesting quirk! I too wish I could turn my life into a musical. Wouldn't that be fun?

  8. The french fry thing is interesting! As for the dance you mentioned, that reminds me of a project some of my college friends did. They choreographed a song and dance number and arranged to do it at a nearby coffee shop. The customers, who had no idea it was coming, were really surprised.

  9. Congratulations on doing the 5K run, it looks like fun! I mean, a bit tiring but fun lol

Going all out on dancing and singing? There should be no other way to go about it ;)

  10. Well done for the 5K. I have weird food things too, I have to eat food equally on each side of my mouth, which means eating in even numbers. If I have an odd number of something I have to very carefully divide it into two to make it equal on both sides.

It's fine to have these things though, as your husband says, it's what makes us who we are.

Thanks to you and Dani for hosting a great hop.

  11. The singing and dancing around the house sounds like a lot of fun! But nothing would make me give up any part of a French fry. Even if that thing falls on the floor, it goes under the 3-second rule -- if I can pick it up within 3 seconds, it's safe to eat! lol

  12. You sound so fun! I totally get hairbrush singing. It's very normal. And the french fry thing? It's...unique...

  13. LOL about the french fries! Also; you and Dani look adorbz in y'alls' tutus. :-)
