First up is the Celebrate the Small Things Meme.
Host: Vikki @ Scribblings of an Aspiring Author
Instructions:
Each Friday, post something you wish to celebrate achieving for that week.
- I got a good night's sleep... we have a new bed, and it's heavenly. With our old mattress, I felt like an old woman in the mornings, bones creaking and popping, but the new mattress makes me feel rejuvenated.
- My oldest son's first track meet is Saturday. I know it's not until tomorrow, but I'm so excited for him!
- Put on paper - some ideas for my WIP.
- Dani @Entertaining Interests and I have been in cahoots again. Look for some fun bloghops from us as well as a surprise *rubs hands together with a silly grin* I'm so excited!
Next up is the Back FROM the Future Bloghop.
Hosts: M. Pax, Nicki Elson, and Suze.
Instructions:
You're up before dawn on a Saturday when the doorbell rings. You haven't brewed your coffee so you wonder if you imagined the sound. Plonking the half-filled carafe in the sink, you go to the front door and cautiously swing it open. No one there. As you cast your eyes to the ground, you see a parcel addressed to you ... from you.
You scoop it up and haul it inside, sensing something legitimate despite the extreme oddness of the situation. Carefully, you pry it open. Inside is a shoebox -- sent from ten years in the future -- and it's filled with items you have sent yourself.
What's in your capsule?
Here's what's in my capsule:
- a picture of my family. Wow, my boys are handsome! :)
- the winning lotto numbers for that Saturday
- copies of my first pubbed novel - hardcover and paperback
- keys to a restored Chevy Camaro and a restored Shelby Mustang
- location of said vehicles
Next up is The Bloghop of Joy.
Hosts: Kyra Lennon and Clare Dugmore
Instructions:
These are the small, sometimes slightly unusual things that always cheer you up - they want to know, what is on your list of joy? Post your list with a minimum of five things that put a spring back in your step!
My list of JOY....
- The laughter and/or smiles of my sons
- Love notes/emails/texts from my hubby
- Artwork from my little ones
- Walking into a bookstore or library
- Coffee - Grande vanilla blonde from Starbucks
- When I find a pair of jeans or shirt that I love, then discover they're on sale!
- Waching my sons sporting events
- Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips
- Dark chocolate with sea salt (Thanks, Cyn! It's delish)
- Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
- That new baby smell
- Blanket straight out of the dryer
That's all for me, folks. Hop around to the other blogs and check out their posts!
Have a great weekend! :)
Muahahahahaah! We are shifty! Can't wait for everything to go down!
ReplyDeleteLove you future items. Your top 3 are similar to what's on my list. Go figure.
Love your Joy list too.
I want a new mattress! *crosses arms and pouts*
Can't wait to reveal our fun hops! ^_^

ReplyDelete~Just Jill
Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI wonder who restored the Shelby Mustang. Those are very attractive cars.
ReplyDeleteProbably a relative... that'd be my guess... ;)
DeleteThere's nothing better to celebrate than a good night's sleep.
ReplyDeleteSo true. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThese are, like, the perfect three blogfests to have all in one day - easy & uplifting. Good luck in the race! (Greased Lightnin' is playing in my head right now ;))

DeleteOooh, a restored Shelby Mustang. Nice!!
ReplyDeleteIt's my hubby's dream car. :D
Deletekeys for two beautiful cars, not a bad idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And a race would top it all off! :)
DeleteGreat list! Ah, a blanket fresh out of the dryer is the best thing EVER!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being part of the bloghop!
Thanks for visiting, Kyra!
DeleteWhat a great list and I too LOVE things out of the dryer!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteI totally love salt and vinegar potato chips and can eat a whole bag at one time. I'm hungry for them now!
ReplyDeleteLove the car keys and wish I had thought to send myself the lottery numbers. :)
I'm hungry for those chips, too! :)
DeleteOh I like the blanket out of the dryer being on the list. Not sure I'd want a lottery ticket - wouldn't that change the course of history too much? You might not even get round to publishing that first book, you'd be too busy racing Mustangs!
ReplyDeleteNah, I don't think it would change it too much. Paying off bills and charity tops the list so I think it'd be fabulous! :)
DeleteWhat a great list of joy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne!
DeleteAwesome list of joy and I love what's in your box from the future. I should've thought to send back the lotto numbers!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine! :)
DeleteWow you're a blogfest queen today! Man I'd love me a classic convertible '67 mustang. Light blue please. ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh! Nice choice in a vehicle!
DeleteBoy, lotsa stuff squeezed into this post. A restored Camaro, huh? A girl after my own heart. (I'd LOVE to get one of the new retro ones, but the trunk is too darned small. I know. Dumb reason.) I believe I'll stuff a couple salt and vinegar chips into my mouth, and sign on as your newest groupie. Nice to meetcha!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, too! :)
DeleteI'm in favourite of the winning lotto numbers...
ReplyDeleteThe library and coffee also bring me great joy... and who can resist that new baby smell?
Thanks for visiting!
DeleteDo you want to sell that Shelby Mustang? :)
ReplyDeleteI'd have to ask my hubby, and since it's his dream car, I'm thinking he'd say no. :)
DeleteThere is nothing so great as having a wonderful bed to sleep in... and if you need a new pillow, look at the hotel quality pillows from Pacific Coast. They are divine!
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck to your son on his meet.
Ooh! Thanks for the pillow info and the luck for my kiddo!
DeleteHi Jackie, I'm here visiting for the Back to the Future Blogfest, and I'm now a follower. I liked #4 and your comment after. In a family of men and boys, you've almost got a racing team there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow on my blog!
Thanks for stopping by and for the follow.
